Tour plan
-
Our journey begins in one of the region’s oldest cities. We’ll climb up to the Hill of Wishes, which offers a beautiful panoramic view of the old town and the valleys of Cappadocia.
-
A historic Greek village with 19th-century stone mansions.
Here you can admire the unique architecture and experience the atmosphere of a time when Greeks and Turks lived peacefully side by side in Cappadocia. -
One of the most interesting monastic complexes in the region.
The site still features ancient rock-cut churches, monks’ cells, a refectory, and utility rooms.
For a long time, the monastery was hidden from the outside world among the rocks. -
One of the most beautiful and peaceful valleys in Cappadocia.
Here you’ll find an archaeological site, dozens of rock-cut churches, ancient frescoes, and traditional village life
The valley is known for its unique Soğanlı dolls, which are made by local women.
Lunch in Soğanlı
In the village’s main square—Dragon Square—a home-cooked meal awaits us at a local restaurant.
This is a great opportunity to sample traditional Anatolian cuisine and relax a bit in the peaceful village atmosphere. -
One of the most famous churches in the valley.
Inside, there are vivid Byzantine frescoes from the 9th to 11th centuries depicting biblical scenes. -
A monastery that is rarely visited but has a very atmospheric feel. It is known for having housed a monastic hospital during the Byzantine era, where monks provided assistance to pilgrims and local residents.
-
The tour concludes at the Lavanta Panorama viewpoint, which offers a magnificent view of the Ortahisar Fortress—one of the region’s most impressive rock-cut fortresses.
Here we’ll try an unusual drink—Menengiç coffee, made from wild pistachios. This is a traditional drink of Central Anatolia.
After enjoying the view, we’ll return to the hotel.
